1. The following procedure works for Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS GT- i9802Smartphone.
2. Make sure your device have at least 80% battery power.

III. How to install Android 4.1.2 Official Stock ROM On Galaxy Grand Duos I9082

1. Extract Firmware zip file and you will get a .tar file.
2. Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
3. Switch off your Galaxy Grand Duos
4. Now, put the Galaxy Grand Duos in Download Mode by pressing and holding theHome, Volume Up key and Power button.
5. Then, a warning message appears, press the Volume Down key to continue.
6. Now run Odin3 v3.07.exe as an Administrator because Admin privileges is required to complete the process smoothly.
7. Now connect your Galaxy Grand Duos with your PC using USB cable.
8. Then a message will arrive under Odin’s message box in the bottom left saying “Added!!”
9. Select these files in Odin at respective tabs from extracted firmware folder:
  • Click the PDA Button, and select the .tar file here
10. In Odin window, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected. Also, make sure that Re-Partition checkbox is selected
11. Double check everything that we mentioned in Step 9 & Step 10 above. Now, once satisfied hit the START button to begin the flashing process.
12. Once flashing completed, you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. The phone will then automatically rebooted and soon you will see the Samsung logo. You can then unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
Congrats! Your Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos should now run on Android 4.1.2Jelly

samsung Galaxy S3 owners could be joining Galaxy S4 users on the latest version of Android next month, reports suggest, ending months of waiting for the software bump.
According to Sam Mobile, which initially intimated that the update's arrival would coincide with last week's Samsung Premier press call, Android 4.2.2 is now set to drop in July or August. That's a full five months after the current edition of Google's smartphone software began rolling to the search giant's own-branded phones.

It's not all good news, though. That's because July/August due date for fresh software for the Galaxy S3 will almost certainly be for unbranded versions of the handset that were bought SIM-free and off-contract.
If you aren't in that number, you're probably going to have to mark time for a bit longer while your carrier ensures that Android 4.2.2 is compatible with its proprietary services loaded on your handset.
Can't wait that long? Well, the more technically minded among you may want to have a go at installing the test version of the bump, which is available now at Sam Mobile.
As you might expect, this doesn't contain the full set of features that the finished edition is expected to boast. But it still brings everything from improved voice-commands recognition to a new SmartSwitch widget.

[ requirements ]
  • unlocked bootloader
  • previously on stock .253/.307 JB ROM or roms based on that [since some components of THIS rom contain files from those firmwares]
  • supplied ROM
  • any existing kernel with recovery
    OR
    just extract the boot.img (contains inbuilt recovery) from the ROM i have uploaded and flash it using fastboot



[ how to install ]
  1. download the ROM and save it on SDCARD
  2. reboot device into recovery
  3. flash the ROMs update.zip (this will take some time)
  4. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU WIPE DATA WHILE IN RECOVERY!
  5. thats it now reboot device
  6. at first boot device the NFC firmware will get updated wait for process to be completed
  7. after a few reboots the ROM should stabilize!
  8. enjoy!

XCSoar - Basic Installation Instructions

1. Download xcsoar from android Market
4. Download Turnpoints from soaringweb or if in UK use http://www.spsys.demon.co.uk/waypoints/_tpselect/tpselect_load.htm
5. Copy all files to SDCard\XCSoarData\
6. Open XC Soar - double tap screen to access menu >> click config >> click config >> system setup
7. tap on white area next to map file select map file downloaded
8. tap Waypoints 1 add turnpoints
9. tap airspace 1 add airspace.
10. close
11. exit xcsoar, restart
12. double tap screen >> select Nav >> waypoint list
13. Select your home waypoint then click on arrow below details "make home"
14. Close
15. double tap screen config >> config >> setup system
16. toggle to airspace - setup as per your needs, i chose show all below 5000ft close
17. Long press on fields on main screen to change
